COLONIE Arthur W. Baldwin, 90, of Colonie, died Thursday, February 6, 2003 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born and educated in Rensselaer. Mr. Baldwin was a Colonie resident for over fifty years. He had worked as a machinist at American Locomotive and the Watervliet Arsenal, retiring in 1975. Arthur was a lifetime member of the Colonie Elks. He is the husband of the late Wilma E. Baldwin. He is survived by his children, Patricia B. Masten of Colonie and Lewis A. Baldwin of Silver Springs Fla. and Schroon Lake; grandfather of Michelle (Scott) Rose and Robert Baldwin; great-grandfather of Zachary and Damian Rose, all of Wynantskill. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Baldwin's family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff at Albany Memorial Hospital and Julie Blair Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, for their kindness and support. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Colonie Elks, PO Box 756, Latham, NY 12110 or to the charity of one's choice.
