Lipkin, Arthur M. BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. Arthur M. Lipkin, age 92, died on May 11, 2021. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Max and Sadie Caplan Lipkin. Art was a dedicated son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and husband. Arthur graduated from Columbia University Teachers College with a doctorate degree. He was a teacher of industrial arts at Hackett Middle School from 1958 to 1972 and later was assistant principal at Livingston Middle School from 1972 to 1988. Arthur was a leader in the fight for integrating the Albany school system where he always showed respect and honor to everyone. Arthur was also a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He was the beloved husband of Rita; loving father of Michael and the late Robert; cherished grandfather of Rebekah Magin, Robin Robinson and Avigael Lipkin; and great-grandfather of Julia, Emerson, Aja, Judah and Ivy. In addition to his parents and son, Robert, Art was predeceased by his twin brother Leonard Lipkin. A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, May 14, at 11 a.m. on the grounds of the Hebrew Tailor's Cemetery, Western Avenue, Guilderland.
