Brandon Piterniak Obituary

COHOES Brandon A. Piterniak, 21, of Central Avenue, Cohoes, died suddenly Thursday, June 22, 2006. Born in Albany, he was the beloved son of Patty G. Anderson Rubino of Melrose and Nicholas A. Piterniak III of Cohoes. Brandon was a lifelong area resident and was educated in the Mechanicville and Cohoes Schools. He was employed in the recreation department with the City of Cohoes for two years. Brandon enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling. He belonged to the Junior Youth Boxing Club and was a 2001 unopposed boxing champion. He was an avid NY Yankee and Giant fan. Adored brother of Tyler Rubino of Melrose; cherished maternal grandson of Patricia and Eugene Anderson of Melrose; and treasured paternal grandson of Nicholas and Rosanne Piterniak Jr. of Cohoes. He is survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins and his beloved dog, Taz. Funeral from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes Tuesday morning at 8:30; Mass of Christian Burial from St. Bernard's Church, Cohoes at 9 o'clock. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Monday from 4-8 p.m.
