Carol O'Brien Obituary

O'Brien, Carol
CLIFTON PARK - We are sad to announce the sudden passing of our beloved Carol Ann (Baker) O'Brien, on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 5, 1952, in Troy, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Marjorie (Allison) Baker.
Carol graduated from Troy High class of 1970 and HVCC in 1972. Carol worked for the Town of Clifton Park Justice Court as both Court Clerk and Chief Court Clerk, retiring on December 26, 2024, after 37 years of service. She was dedicated to her family, especially her daughters and grandchildren. Much of her free time was spent cheering on her grandchildren at their various events. She also cherished a very close relationship with her sister and her family. Carol was strong, independent and a light to everyone that knew her.
Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her infant granddaughter, Anna Tomaso; as well as her brother, Paul Baker.
Left to cherish her memory include her three daughters, Maura Kristel (Jeremy), Katie Mokay (Michael) and Meaghan Tomaso (John Sherry); her beloved grandchildren, Keeley and Kellan Kristel, Evan and Lily Tomaso, Liam Sherry, James, Sam and Addy Mokay; sister, Lynn Meyer (Robert); her brothers, Bruce Baker (Gail) and Carl Baker (Katherine); her former husband, Kevin O'Brien (Todd Kilmer); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on the family from 3 to 7 p.m., on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, N.Y. 12065.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m., on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the Church.
