Words cannot even begin to define what a fabulous woman Carol was. She was first class all the way. She LOVED her family, loved her friends, loved her two Carly's and in general loved life. Always found the good in everyone. I was SO very blessed to have had her as a friend for so many years! She will be sorely missed! My prayers are with the Verdile, Hourigan and Fox families.

Mike & Family, words cannot express my sincere sadness over the loss of Carol. It was not that long ago that Laurie & I took the trip to see you but stopped in troy to see her first. She was hesitant for us to come but we were not going to take no for an answer. It was clear she did not feel well, but she welcomed us with open arms, we sat and reminisced, laughed, gossiped (about some good stuff too) laughed some more. it was a great visit, were glad we got to see her. I will miss her very much. Please watch over you dad as the days ahead will be hard for him. Again my sincere condolences to the verdile & hourigan families and to anyone else that was a part of carol's life that will miss her as much as I will. Love you Mike(Barb)

Sal, Vinnie, Johnny,Steven, Mike, Louis and Jackie, it is so hard to write this because Carol was like family to me. We spent many years working together in Chicago and although we have not met, I feel as though I know you all because Carol talked about her family all the time, she loved you all dearly. The staff of Ginger Ridge would like to thank you for sharing Carol with us for so many years. Our lives have been enriched because we have known Carol Verdile, she will not be forgotten. We will continue to pray for the family. With Love

In tears we saw you sinking,
And watched you pass away.
Our hearts were almost broken,
We wanted you to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping,
So peaceful, free from pain,
How could we wish you back with us,
To suffer that again.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God took you home.
If Roses grow in Heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother's arms
and tell her they're from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there's an ache within my heart
that will never go away.
Don't think of her as gone away
Her journey's just begun
Life holds so many facets
This earth is only one
Just think of her as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years
Think how she must be wishing
That we could know, today
Now nothing but our sadness

And think of her as living
