Cecile Goolsby Obituary
ALBANY - On October 30, 2023, Cecile Juanita Marable Goolsby of Albany, went to be with the Lord at the age of 86. A vibrant and caring soul, she leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is survived by her beloved and devoted daughter, Joyce Goolsby Pounds and son-in-law, Johnny Pounds; daughter-in-law, Patricia Goolsby Richardson; her grandchildren, Johnny II (Crystal), Tony (Mary-Francis), Christine, Justin, Jasmine, and Jordan, and five great-grandchildren.
The time of remembrance will be from 9:30-11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. on November 11, in the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 159 Quail St., Albany.

Cecile was my friend from kindergarten through high school in Athens, Georgia, where we graduated from high school together. We reconnected in the last few years with cards and phone calls. She was a giving loving person to her family as well as others. I will miss her exuberance for life. She lived a full life.
