Cesare DeCastro Obituary

DeCastro, Cesare
RAVENA - Cesare DeCastro, 93, passed away on May 22, 2025. He was the son of the late Mariano and Evelina DeCastro. Cesare came to the United States with his family from a small town in Italy, over 50 years ago. He made a living by working as a custodian at Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District. Cesare loved to play and watch soccer and loved to play the slots at the casino. He was predeceased by his wife, Filomena. Survivors include his three children, Evelyn, Vincent and Claudia DeCastro; his sisters in Italy; along with nieces and nephews in Italy and the United States.
Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena, N.Y., on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at The Church of St. Patrick, Ravena, N.Y., on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Grove Cemetery, Coeymans, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Hospice at The Community Hospice Foundation, 310 South Manning Blvd., Albany, N.Y. 12208.
