Very sorry to hear of his passing, just heard the news from Dave in Alaska. Wish I had known I would of been at his service, as he has always been there for everyone else in their times of need. He was always supportive and caring.

I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Chuck's passing. I had no idea he was ill. He is the one that got me interested in the out-of-doors, hunting and shooting. He will surly be missed. But then again I am 4,300 miles away in Alaska. RIP my friend.

May you rest in peace Gramps. I will forever be eternally grateful for all the history lessons you gave me when I asked you a question about something related to history. It is one of the memories that I will cherish forever along with going to your house the day of the Auction at church. We would playing Mario with you watching and cheering us on. I know you're in a better place without any pain but this is hard. I will forever cherish the final memory when I visited you in the hospital and you squeezed my arm and told me you loved me when I had to leave. I forever will carry those words in my heart! I love and miss you!

Gram-I am always here for you. I am only a phone call away if you ever need someone to talk to or someone to come spend some quality time with you. I love you and cherish the fact of how close we are, and now you have me drinking red wine (one of Gramps favorites) Love you and stay strong!

Charlie was one of our Wednesday (sometimes Thursday or Tuesday) Retiree Luncheon Crowd. I enjoyed listening to his remembrances about his Great-Great-Great Grandfather Johnnie Reb Tillman, his meeting Admiral Rickover and his installing sprinklers to the smell of chocolate chip cookies at Freihofers Bakery. When I finally had a chance to have him work on the plumbing of my home, he was too ill to do so. We meet people, sometimes almost in passing, but never forget them. Charlie is one of those people, May good memories of happy times be a comfort to you and all of Charlie's family.

I woke up Monday morning, and my 1st thought was Happy 80th Birthday Dad…. I wish I could have said that to you in person, but alas I am not able, and it made me realize how much I miss you already.
I'm thankful for the 51 years we had together, especially Tuesday night cocktails and dinner with Mom and playing golf when we could; it was good and it was memorable. Moreover, I am thankful the things that you and mom taught us and the sacrifices that both of you have made.
I will see you again, in the meantime, I have pulled myself up by my boot straps and am moving forward.

Have a scotch waiting for me...
