Wisenburn, Charles "Charlie" Harold
LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Charles "Charlie" Harold Wisenburn, 44 of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully at home with his mother by his side after a courageous battle with cancer on June 22, 2020.
Charlie was born in Albany to Harold "Charlie" and Diana Wisenburn on September 6, 1975.
Charlie attended St. Teresa of Avila School in Albany and Berne Knox Westerlo School before moving to Gainesville, Fla. with his parents in 1988, he then graduated from Buchholz High School in 1993. He attended Pasco/Hernando Community College and was co-owner of H.C. Wisenburn and son furniture in Port Richey, Fla. with his dad. Charlie lived a life as a Christian in his strong faith in God, being taught in third grade at St. Teresa of Avila School by Sister Mary Ellen the most important thing in your life is your personal relationship with Jesus. He was a businessman with integrity, loyalty, and respect. He learned and practiced old-school values taught to him by his dad. Those who knew him trusted him as a friend because he was a man of his word. He was devoted to his mom and dad and was always there for his family. Everyone remembers Charlie's smile and sense of humor. He loved to fish and travel when he was not working.
Charlie was preceded in death by his dad, Harold "Charlie" Wisenburn Jr.; paternal grandparents, Harold Wisenburn Sr. and Mary Wisenburn; maternal grandparents, Anthony and Catherine Montarulo; and uncles, James Wisenburn and Gerald Decker. Charlie is survived by his mom, Diana (Wisenburn) (Charles) Partington; his sister, Tracy (Corey Sr.) Thomas; his half-sisters, Teena Wisenburn and Joanne Scalera; his nephew, Corey "CJ" Thomas Jr. and his wife Michelle; his nieces, Katlyn (Cody) Rowlands, Carleigh (Joshua) Thomas and Kari Thomas; his great-niece, Blayke Thomas; his great-nephew, Corey Thomas III, (Tripp); his aunts, Phyllis (Montarulo) Decker and Barbara (Lounsbury) Wisenburn and many cousins in the Capital District.
Charlie's family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Christine Estrada of Infinity Hospice Care in Las Vegas.
A memorial celebration of life service for Charlie will be Saturday, June 24, at 12 p.m. where his ashes will be placed to rest by his dad in the Onesquethaw Cemetery in Clarksville under the arrangements of Cunningham Funeral Home of Greenville.
