Craig Packer Obituary

AMSTERDAM Craig Packer, age 44, of Brice Street in Amsterdam, N.Y. died suddenly on Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam after being stricken at his residence. Craig was born in Amsterdam and was a lifelong resident. He was employed by Benchmark-FLG of Rochester and Boston in sales at the time of his death. He was a graduate of the Amsterdam High School and was a member of Congregation Sons of Israel in Amsterdam. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Martuscello Packer; his children, Brandon Packer and Alison Packer, both of Amsterdam, N.Y.; brother of Neal Packer of Niskayuna, N.Y., Bryan Packer of Fla., Gary Packer of Scotia and Heather Engle of Fla. Beloved son of Beverly Packer of Schenectady and the late Murray Packer. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Shirley Harvey of Schenectady and many nieces and nephews. Craig had a great love for life, his family and his children meant everything to him. Services at Congregation Agudat Achim, 2117 Union Street, Schenectady on Thursday, June 26, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Congregation Sons of Israel Cemetery in Cranesville, N.Y. The period of mourning will be observed at the home of Andrea and Neal Packer, 20 Covington Court in Niskayuna, N.Y.
