Cynthia Burns Obituary

Burns, Cynthia A. SPEIGLETOWN Cynthia A. Burns, 63, died suddenly on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born in Cornwall, N.Y., the daughter of the late Kenneth and Emily Nagle Rumsey and was a graduate of Wallkill Central High School, class of 1962. Cynthia had worked for the Aetna - Travelers Insurance Co. as a claims representative in Albany for over 40 years before retiring in 2005. Survivors include her husband, Edward "Ned" Burns of Speigletown; her son, Christopher Burns of Troy; sister of Kenneth and his wife Catherine Rumsey of Plattekill, N.Y., Frank and his wife Paula Rumsey of Wallkill, N.Y. and Catherine Carpenter and her husband Russell of Surfside Beach, S.C.; also survived by her aunt, Jacqueline Rumsey of Newburgh; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the White-Sanvidge Funeral Home, 58 Leversee Rd. (Rt. 40) in Speigletown. There are no calling hours. Interment will be held in St. John's Cemetery, Troy.
