Hatch, Daniel E.
ALBANY - Daniel E. Hatch of Albany, N.Y. passed away on October 16, 2024, after a long illness. Dan graduated from Chatham High School, in 1977.
A few years after graduating, Dan entered the U.S. Army. After his years with the army, Dan worked several different jobs before he settled as a waiter for 18 years for Denny's.
Dan was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Ruth Hatch. Also, by his sisters, Diane, Patty and Kathy, who Dan had a special relationship with even though each may have been different.
Dan is survived by his brothers, Harry and Bobby; as well as his nephew and beloved godson, David. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, who each had a special place in his heart.
Dan had many dear friends, and one was Eric VanWormer and also his brother-in-law, Mike Malone, who were both there for him for many years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, N.Y. 12204, in Dan's name.
Services will be held for Dan on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, N.Y. 12205 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., with an interment to follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
