Daniel Reilly Obituary

Reilly, Daniel Francis
TROY - It is with heavy hearts that the family regretfully announces the sudden passing on October 20, 2024, of Daniel Reilly, a beloved son, brother, and uncle. Danny will be remembered fondly for his contagious smile and warm, loving personality.
A proud graduate of Troy High School, Dan served as class president during both his junior and senior years and was captain of the lacrosse team for two years. Dan attended Villanova University, spent a summer at Middlebury College, where he completed an intensive study of Japanese and was a graduate of RPI; the Lally School of Management.
Dan had a dedicated career, working for New York State in the Department of Social Services, John Hedley's corporation at Hedley Park Place in Troy, and most recently for Callanan Industries.
Danny is survived by his loving mother, Margie Dyer Reilly of Latham; his devoted brother, John Reilly (Lisa) of Rowley, Mass., and their children, Maggie, Molly, and Patrick. He was preceded in death by his devoted and proud father, James R. Reilly. Danny was blessed with a large, loving family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be held on Thursday, October 24, at St. Pius X Church in Loudonville, N.Y. Visiting hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a funeral mass at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dan's name may be made to the Father Peter G. Young Foundation, 134 Franklin St., Albany, N.Y. 12202.

Margie

I am sending prayers to you and your family at this difficult time. I loved Danny and most recently would see him at the Metro Diner when he was working there. He was always a gentleman as well as extremely grateful. He knew how much he was loved by you and Jim.

Dear Marge and John,
I am so sorry to hear of Danny s passing. I remember all the good times at my house when he was young, He was always respectful and always said thank you when he left. He was the only one of all the boys that came over to say thank you. My thoughts are with you today.
