Ran into Dave at the fair the day before Labor Day and while I'm only an acquaintance and former co-worker of his wife, he always had that big smile and warm greeting. He seemed particularly happy and at peace that day, something I see in people of great faith like Dave. My deepest sympathy to Laurie and family.

Rest in peace sweet man. I will never forget all the laughs and good times we had. Just a thought...I hadn't seen a monarch butterfly all summer and yet right after finding out about your passing I went outside the church to make a call, and a monarch butterfly alighted on a leaf right next to me. It made me smile....Terry

One common theme originates from every entry made on Davids Face Book page by people who knew and loved him: "Good Man, Amazing Person, Great Man, Awesome Leader, Great Guy". You couldn't think of Dave without one or all of those terms coming to mind and having a smile on your face.

Laurie and all of Dave's family member should be proud of the man Dave was. He lighted up everyone's lives whom he came in contact with, including Deborah's and mine.

Godspeed my dear, dear friend. I know when I crossover one day, you will be there with that wide wonderful grin and gentle bear hug to welcome me home.
