DeLora R. Miles

Miles, DeLora R. SELKIRK DeLora R. Miles, 80, entered eternal life on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at home surrounded by her beloved family and dear friend Dodie Rohloff. Born in Port Henry, N.Y. she was the daughter of Lester and Jane Forgette Joiner. DeLora graduated from the Crown Point High School. She spent over 30 years as the house manager for Blessed Sacrament Church Rectory in Albany, serving her beloved pastor Reverend John Bradley and the many clergy assigned or in residence at the parish. DeLora was a consummate cook, baker and house manager and loved by all those she cared for in the Rectory. She was a skilled quilter and seamstress, and she enjoyed reading and music. But, family was most important in her life - spending time with them, caring for them, cooking for holidays and special occasions gave DeLora great joy. Her family will cherish their memories of DeLora's love as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the beloved wife for 56 years of the late Robert W. Miles; loving mother of Tammy Seabridge (Wayne), Robert L. Miles, Jennifer Kerbein (Frank), and Elinor McDermott (Thomas); cherished grandmother of Keith W. Seabridge, Gwen M. Harding (Vincent), Robert Miles, Ryan Miles, and Miles Kerbein (Amanda); great-grandmother of John-Wesley Harding and Theo Kerbein; sister of Jeff Joiner (Kathy), Sally Joiner (Paul), and the late William Tucker, Gary Joiner, Judson Joiner, Kim Joiner, and Judy Joiner; many nieces and nephews also survive. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with DeLora's family on Monday, November 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen St., Albany. Please only enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot doorway. Unvaccinated individuals must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Funeral services on Tuesday, November 2, at 9 a.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave. (Father John Bradley Way), Albany, where her funeral Mass will be celebrated.
