As we approach this very difficult day of July 4 th, we are filled with many emotions. Most of questions of Why? While, I know in this life, I will never know the answer, I think I know what you would have wanted. We will celebrate Jessica's 1 st Birthday. We will believe, that you are with your Mom in a better place. I'm sure you are looking down. Wecan hear you telling all of us, "Be strong." "We will all be together someday for eternity, and that eternity is FOREVER." "Our life here is just a short visit." We will always love you, Denise!

Denise - Yesturday should have been a "Happy 40 th Birthday", but instead we stand and pray for the strength and answers to why?? Why were you taken from us? Why were you taken from Micheal? Why were you taken from Joseph and Jessica? I don't think we'll ever understand. As the seasons pass, we hope that life without you might get a little easier, but that is a very tall hope, as you were an angel on earth. We can only hope that you knew then, what we know more than ever now. How much you meant to all of us!

Missing You, is an understatement! As the hours turn into days, the days into weeks and weeks into months, we are all faced with the reality, that this is not just a bad dream. It is taking everything we all have, to try to do, what you did so loving and naturally. As a Mother, Daughter, Sister, cousin and friend, we all knew you were here for us. I believe you still are. I thank you for the many gifts you gave all of us. Joseph and Jessica being the most precious. We count on you to give us the strength we need to provide a Happy Holiday Season for them, because we know you would not want it any other way. You were only in our lives for a short time, but you are in our hearts forever.

Only Heaven Knows by Demi Bouck
July 4, 2006
A miracle and tragedy appeared to exist,
A young beautiful mother who couldn't wait for this day
Brought shock and confusion and a time to pray,
"It's a girl!" shouted the doctor as he passed her to a nurse
"Why Denise?" we all questioned as we gathered around her hearse,
A birthday and death in a matter of seconds
A torn family and husband now alone with two kids,
"Mommy's lost?" questioned Joseph her two and a half year old son
Right then and there we knew the pain had just begun,
Four months have now passed us by
Not a day in between without tears in our eyes,
Baby Jessica is growing happy and healthy,
A smile like her mothers, NO! this can't be,
Flashing back, it seemed like just yesterday she was holding her belly,
Anticipating the day she would be holding her baby,
Reality sets in, looking at her name on the grave,
Crying and screaming, "God why couldn't this wait?",
So many questions with the answers unheard of,
As we sit reminiscing about the Denise we all knew and loved,
The pain and suffering from her loved ones will continue to show,
Having to accept she's an angel now, "Why?" only Heaven knows....

On
September 3 rd, Jessica Grace was Christened. The invitations that you
made, were sent to everyone you wanted to wittness this Event. She was
Christened, just as you, Denise would have wanted her to be. She was
dressed in the very same Christening Gown that you wore, the day Aunt
Dot and Uncle Jack brought you to God's House. Pictures of Jessica were
given, just as you did for Joseph. The cake was that of your Mom's
favorite (all of ours too) recipe. The Goodie Bags were passed out to
all the children. Joseph had fun. His smile, is your smile! Frankie and
Tammy made a committment
to help Micheal raise Jessica in the Christen Faith, while your Uncle Joey performed the ceromony. Danny took
pictures, so no one would ever forget the love that was shared that
day. David has risen to the occassion of helping in whatever way he can
with the children. While we all grieve, I know your Dad is hurting very
badly. It is very hard to watch a him grieve for both his
Wife and his daughter in such a short period of time. One more thing, I
could not help but notice the constant drizzle of rain that feel
Sunday. I
believe it was you looking down. Sad that we were all holding your
children, but proud of the love that was shown that day and every day
since you left us. Denise, you are gone, but will never be forgotten.
Love, your cousin, Lou Carol

We can not measure a life time in the number of years someone has walked the Earth, but we should measure a life by the number of lives someone has touched. There is no one who will ever replace Denise. The love of her family, the care and the compassion for everyone she knew, even those she did not, can never be replaced. When I think of someone other than Denise rocking those two babies to sleep, I have to believe that maybe they are there physically, but Denise is rocking them through the Heavens. Micheal she was blessed to have found you, at a time in her life where she might have questioned what was good in this world. Thank you for being her Prince and the Father of her children. Please remember you are not alone. If there is anything this family has done well, we have learned to support each other when life seems so unfair.

I was shocked to hear of this news. I feel this tragedy especially touches those of us who are mothers. I will not soon forget this and the sorrow her family is feeling. The one thing I do remember about Denise was that thousand watt smile of hers, she could light up any room! I graduated with Danny ( my maiden name was Hansen) and my son went to preschool with Noelle's son.
My prayers are with all of you.

The support and saddness in the room last night was a sign of how many people's hearts Denise touched. No one will ever replace that beautiful smile that could warm your heart.
I hope the family will see that same smile on Jessica Grace's face someday.
I know Denise is watching and has lit up a bit of heaven with her kindness, caring and most of all her love for you Mike, and her children,The tradgedies this family has had to endure seem so unfair. Denise, please know that you will be forever in our prayers and thoughts

To The Falvo / Slovak Family's,
I had not seen Denise since high school. The news of her death brought back memories of that "beautiful smile" she possessed and those kind words that she often spoke with that soft voice of hers. After reading some of the other testimony's, I realize a true Angel was among us while her time here on earth. She has left her spirit within her children and family. She will be remembered. My deepest condolences to each and every one of you. May God Bless you.

We felt compelled to write. Please know that we are praying that God will give you the grace to go through this tragedy of losing a wife, a daughter, a Mom,and a sister. What was suppose to be a blessed event in all your lives in having a new baby turned out to end in tragedy. There is no answer why this would happen but God in his infinate wisdom chose Denise to be with Him. Our hearts are hurting with you. Always remember the memories of Denise and she will live with you in each of your heart.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To the Family of Denise Falvo Slovak; My Sincerest and deepest condolences in this difficult time. My name is Dean Tessitore and I knew Denise and the Falvo Family, (especially Grace) for many years. I used to work at the Co-op and Denise would come in before the wedding, and I would ask her how the wedding plans were going and she would say with her wonderful dry sense of humor and a short grin, I can't wait to get married, there are too many of us Denise Falvo's around. In truth, there is only one Denise M. Falvo Slovak. She is a GREAT person, who will always be remembered with great respect and admiration.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and May God Bless You, Jessica Grace, May your Mom's Spirit and Smile remain with You Forever!
Thank you for this opportunity.
