Dennis A. Doherty

PRINCETOWN Dennis A. Doherty, 62, of Princetown, died Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Dennis was born in Troy, he grew up in Guilderland and was a 1961 graduate of Guilderland High School. He later attended Siena College in Loudonville. Dennis was employed for 30 years with the Golub Corp. as a supervisor of refrigeration, he retired in 2004. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outsdoorsman. He was also a loving father and family man. Dennis was predeceased by his father, Charles E. Doherty. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Sharon Cranker Doherty; his mother, Fulda Lettiere of Italy; his children, Michael Doherty of Guilderland Ctr., Debbie Litz of Altamont, David Doherty of Knox, Floyd Doherty of Duanesburg, Matthew Doherty and Joshua Doherty, both of the Town of Florida; his step-children, Michael McClellan of Syracuse and Melissa McClellan of Schenectady; his sister, Debbie Doherty of S.C.; stepmother, Grace Doherty of Reinbech; his grandchildren, Kevin, Gina, Zachary, Isabella, Brooke, Mackenzie and Jacob; his step-granddaughter, Mikayla and great-grandson, Justin. Funeral services will be held Sunday, 5 p.m. at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Tpk. (Rt. 20), Guilderland. Calling hours will be Sunday, 3-5 p.m. Burial will be private.
