MECHANICVILLE - Devin Michael Gaudette, 27, former resident of Mechanicville, died suddenly in his home in Sandy Springs, Ga., of a presumed cardiac event, on December 17, 2023. Born in Florida on February 26, 1996, son of Christopher and Charlene Gaudette, he was a 2014 graduate of Mechanicville High School.
Several years ago, Devin decided to travel the country picking up jobs along the way. Most recently he was living in Georgia where he was working as a real estate agent, and also, bartender/server during the evenings. He loved the game of golf and was a gym rat, always keeping himself in shape. He loved a good party, where his social skills shined, making new friendships throughout his travels. His kind hearted nature and genuineness always attracted good people to him. He was super motivated and kept a journal of the goals he made from himself. He truly lived his life to the fullest.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, Chris and Charlene; include his grandparents, Robert and Carol Gaudette; step-brothers, Sean and Daniel Baisley; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends. Also, his very dear friend over the past year, Litty. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Irene and Rodger Shufelt.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 10 a.m - 12 p.m. at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 South Main Street, Mechanicville, N.Y. A Funeral Home service will begin at 12 p.m., with burial to follow in St. Paul's Cemetery.
