Diane Michaels Obituary
EAST BERNE - Diane R. "Mimi" Michaels, 79, of East Berne, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025. Born July 3, 1945, she was the daughter of Daniel and Sophie Michaels.
Diane cared for patients at Marcy's Nursing Home, later worked in clerical for New York State, then as an independent house cleaner, lastly retiring with the New York State Thruway Authority. Diane was a member of Rock Road Chapel, where she also enjoyed volunteering her time. Diane enjoyed cooking and baking, and taking day trips with her partner, Ike.
She is survived by her loving partner, Isaac Conklin; daughter, Julie Aviza; brother, Daniel (Shirley) Michaels; and Dennis Michaels; two grandchildren, Timothy and Erin McIntyre; sister-in-law, Nancy Michaels and Anne Hallenback; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and extended family, Monica Conklin, Alex Hrvatin, Richard Conklin, Amanda and Jay Miller and children. She was predeceased by her sister, Darlene (Roy) Ketzler; and brothers, Dean Michaels and Douglas Michaels.
Relatives and family are invited to visit with Diane's family on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 9 to 11 a.m., with a service at 11 a.m., at Rock Road Chapel, 96 Rock Road, Berne. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Berne, in Spring.
Special thanks to Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, Pastor Jay Francis, Rock Road Chapel Family and Helderberg Ambulance.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Diane R Michaels to Rock Road Chapel Food Pantry or Helderberg Ambulance.
