LOUDONVILLE - Diane P. O'Connor, 71, entered Eternal Life Friday, September 26, 2025, at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred Held Peter.
Diane graduated from Colonie Central High School and Junior College of Albany. She had been employed at both St. Clare's Hospital and Ellis Hospital, and was a nurse for over 40 years.
She enjoyed photography, sewing, shopping, travel, cooking, breeding Maine Coon cats and spending time with her grandsons. She was a longtime volunteer and friend of the United Society of Shakers in New Gloucester, Maine.
Diane was the wife of Steven P. O'Connor for over 50 years; mother of Dr. Katharine "Kate" E. Halligan (Stephen) and Adam P. O'Connor (Laci); grandmother of Aidan Halligan, Sean Halligan, and Ryan Halligan; daughter-in-law of the late Gerald and Betty O'Connor.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Diane's family on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany, N.Y. 12206.

Funeral services Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., at McVeigh Funeral Home, Albany, N.Y. The interment will follow at Memory Garden's Cemetery.
