Donald Saunders Obituary

Saunders, Donald E. LATHAM Donald E. Saunders, 69, of Latham, died Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Born in Ballston Spa, son of the late Douglas and Jane Senecal Saunders, he lived in Stillwater for 10 years before moving to Latham 14 years ago. He had been employed in mainten-ance at the Samaritan Hospital in the 1970s and then by Janitronics and later St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands. He retired in the mid-90s from the Grand Union in Waterford. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Burnum Saunders; his children, Duane Saunders of Latham and Lorie Saunders of Schenectady; a brother, Beecher "Bud" Saunders of Saratoga; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Colonie on Friday at 10:00 a.m. with Hospice Chaplain Rev. Michael Crandall leading the services. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements by McNulty Funeral Home, Green Island.

Dear Aunt Kathy, Duane & Lorie,
I am so very sorry about Uncle Don. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. I will always be grateful for the opportunity of visiting with him this past July. My prayers are with you and Duane and Lorie.

Aunt Kathy, Duane & Lorie,
