Donna Bombard Obituary

Bombard, Donna M.
EAST GREENBUSH - Donna M. Bombard, 70 of East Greenbush, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023, at St. Peter's Hospital after a brief illness.
Donna was born in Albany, the daughter of the late James Denio and Mary (MacCormack) Denio. Donna was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Carcia; and brother, Peter Miltner. Survivors include her devoted husband of 49 years, Andrew V. Bombard Sr.; and her children, Andrew V. (Katherine) Bombard Jr. and Jonathan Bombard. She was the proud grandmother of Alexa N. Bombard, Emmeline K. Bombard, and Andrew V. Bombard III. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Decker; nieces, Kathleen Stramiello and Tina Bard; along with several great-nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Donna was the former executive director of A.V. Bombard Construction Inc. and helped to create and run several other corporations during her career. She was also the vice president and secretary of the Southern Rensselaer County Boys and Girls Club for years and ran several fundraisers for the organization. She was a member of the Albany Yacht Club and Hop-O-Nose Marina. Donna's life was filled with boating, traveling, and spending time with cherished family and friends. Donna very much enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Her creations dazzled eyes and taste buds alike which brought her great joy.
Whether it was lunch duty at St. Jude's School, chairing St. Jude's Bazaar, or running the little league concession stand during the summer, Donna was always eager to help with a smile on her face. Her smile was contagious and she immediately lit up any room she entered.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Tuesday, April 18, from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc., 165 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Donna's memory may be made to Rensselaer Boys and Girls Club, 544 Broadway, Rensselaer, NY, 12144.
