Kokoszko, Dorota Malgorzata COHOES Dorota Malgorzata Kokoszko, a beloved member of the Ellis community and devoted mother, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 9, 2021. Dorota, 54 of Cohoes, was born on November 2, 1966, in Augustow, Poland. She was the daughter of Stanislaw and Janina (Margielewska) Puczylowski. She is survived by her mother and sister who reside in Augustow, and her loving daughter. Dorota earned her degree in education in Poland in the early 1980s. She moved to New York in the early 1990s and started by decorating cakes at the Golden Krust Bakery in Cohoes. She then went on to graduate at the top of her class from Hudson Valley Community College in 2010 with her license in respiratory therapy and was later employed there as a clinical advisor. Dorota transitioned to Ellis Hospital in Schenectady as a registered respiratory therapist and was an R.R.T. for 11 years. Dorota was recently awarded a Certificate of Excellence from Ellis Hospital. Dorota was an adult critical care specialist, a neonatal resuscitation provider, an advanced cardiovascular life support provider, and active member of the American Association for Respiratory Care. Dorota was beautifully kind and loved cooking and baking for others. She will be incredibly missed by family and friends. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held in St. Michael's Catholic Church, 20 Page Ave., Cohoes on Thursday, April 22, at 11 a.m. The funeral Mass will be live-streamed and available via St. Michael's website, www.stmichaelsofcohoes.org. Dorota was a devoted Roman Catholic and a member of the St. Michael's Church Choir.
