Koniowka, Dorothy Lussier HALFMOON Dorothy Lussier Koniowka, 75, of Woodin Road, Halfmoon, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital, Troy, embraced by her loving family. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Leopold and Eva Pierre Lussier and beloved wife of the late Butch (Francis) Koniowka. Dorothy was raised and educated in Cohoes and has been a resident of Halfmoon for the last 50 years. She enjoyed crafts, cooking and her flower garden, but her true enjoyment came from her loving family. Dorothy was dedicated to her family and home. She is survived by her devoted children, Karen A. Manning of Halfmoon, Linda M. (Gary) Koniowka of Schenectady, Frank L. (Delvena) of Halfmoon, Derek M. (Karen) of Schenectady, Larry J. (Lisa), Leo P., and Kevin R., all of Halfmoon; adored grandchildren, Evan, Melissa, Sierra, Megan and Aiden; sister, Pauline (Chick) Kalbfliesh of Melrose and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Margaret Parent and Marlene Goodard. A funeral service will be held in the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd, 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes, Saturday morning at 9 o'clock with Reverend James Ebert officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford.
