Dorothy Murch Obituary

Murch, Dorothy E. COLONIE, N.Y. Dorothy E. (Romano) Murch, 91, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Louis J. and Elizabeth Voss. Dorothy resided in Colonie for most of her life and retired to Largo, Fla. where she lived for 25 years. She was an avid Bingo player and also enjoyed shopping. Dorothy was the wife of the late Matthew Romano and the late Harry Murch. She is the devoted mother of John (Dianne) Romano of Clifton Park, Mary Ann (Bob) Cady of Colonie and the late Michael Romano Sr. She is also survived by nine cherished grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dorothy's friends at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home and her granddaughter, Michele Johnson for her devoted care to her grandmother. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
