Douglas Chura Obituary
FORT PIERCE, Fla. - Douglas A. Chura, 62, died on April 4, 2024, in Fort Pierce, Florida due to health complications from his 10-year battle with cancer.
Mr. Chura was born in Troy, New York and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Douglas graduated from Watervliet High School, Kaiser University and studied at Alfred University. He worked for Bonded Concrete, Primerica financial services, and retired from Callahan industries.
He was a member of First Bible Baptist Church. Douglas found value in everyone and everything. He loved fishing, working on anything mechanical, and helping others.
Survivors include children, Christopher Chura of Parrish, Fla., Heather Chura of Oakland Park, Fla., Brittany Chura of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Joshua (Mari) Chura of Pompano Beach, Fla.; his sister, Debra (Wes) Marshall of Troy, N.Y.; and his grandchildren.
He was preceded by his mother, Lois Chura Donovan; father, Donald Chura; and wife, Beverly Chura.
The celebration of life will be held at First Bible Baptist Church, 4335 NY-150, West Sand Lake, N.Y. 12196, May 31, 2024, from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, Fla. www.haisleyfuneralhome.com

Doug: You will be so missed. Rest easy in peace with Bev now. You are so loved.
Thank you for creating such a beautiful family, who have hearts of pure gold. You really did appreciate everything and everyone, and your children have continued that legacy.
Thank you also for showing us AP kids how to live life, be lighthearted, and have fun. We have so many unforgettable memories growing up, simply because of your amazing personality. You have no idea what happiness you gave to the whole community. We flocked to your sense of humor, loyalty, and care. Your home was always filled with love.
Rest well now Doug. We love you.
