Edmund F. Donohue

Donohue, Edmund F. TROY Edmund F. Donohue, 84, formerly of Marshland Court in Sycaway, died on Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy surrounded by his loving family. Born August 21, 1927 in Cohoes, N.Y., he was the son of the James H. and Genevieve Duane Donohue. He was the loving husband of the former Alice P. Wright, whom he married in Waterford on January 8, 1965. Mr. Donohue resided in Sycaway for 34 years before moving to Cornerstone Apartments in Green Island. He graduated from St. Patrick's School in Troy and attended Troy High School. He worked for Fuller Brush for a short time before working at Collar City Creamery in Troy. It became Borden Dairy in Menands where he was a route salesman known as "Teddy the Milkman" for 43 years, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed reading and the love of his grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Alice; his beloved children, Debbie A. Viscanti of Latham, Paul F. (Rita) Donohue of North Greenbush; his cherished grandchildren, Paula, Maria and Brian Donohue, along with Colleen and Carrie Viscanti. He was predeceased by six brothers, James, William, John, Gerald, Donald and Dennis K. Donohue. Relatives and friends are invited to the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, on Thursday for visitation from 10 to noon. At 11 a.m., Rev. Randall Patterson, Pastor of Our Lady of Victory Church in Troy will officiate a Roman Catholic funeral service. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Troy.
