Gervais, Edward J. COEYMANS HOLLOW Edward James Gervais passed peacefully into eternal life on February 13, 2021. Ed was born on May 11, 1937, to Edward and Mary Gervais. Ed is survived by his wife Hollace S. (Keir) Gervais; his son, Michael (Kammy) Gervais; his daughters, Esther (Eliovadas) Rosado and Holly Ann (John) Luck; his grandchildren, Sean Headspeth, Timothy Headspeth, Stephanie Kert, Jessica Bailey and Jamie Gervais; and his great-grandchildren, Isabel Haley, Madison Gervais, Leamijanae Murray, Ka'Ren Headspeth, and Oliver Bailey. Margie Fissette will mourn his loss as his only surviving sibling. Many of his nieces and nephews will be reminiscing for years to come of their antics together. Ed was a dedicated employee of the N.Y.S. Environmental Conservation Department at Five Rivers Center in Delmar for a legendary 53 years! His strong work ethics, sense of humor and practical jokes will never be forgotten by those who knew and worked with him. Ed's picture stands today at the Five Rivers "Hall of Honor" securing his "legend lives on" at the place he called his second home. Ed also enjoyed working part-time with the Bethlehem Police Reserve for many years, earning him a recognition award for his dedication with the Police Department. Ed's favorite pastimes were maintaining his home property on his faithful tractor, hunting, "popping" squirrels and eating jelly donuts! Family and friends may gather at a celebration of life picnic to be held at a later date by his family.
