Estelle Nemer

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. Estelle Nemer of Philadelphia, died at her home Sunday, May 21, 2006. Born in Fall River, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Barney and Zelda Sacknoff and was predeceased by her beloved husband, Martin Nemer. A graduate of the Moore Institute of Art, she worked in the fashion industry as one of the first fashion models to appear on television. She later assisted her husband, Martin, in their many endeavors in the automobile business and helped establish Martin Nemer Volkswagen Corp. in Latham, NY. She is survived by her loving sons, Robert (Francine), Peter (Cynthia) and Jonathan (Dale); grandchildren, Martin, Matthew, Eric, Joshua, Alexandra, Amanda, William and Jack; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Pearl Wynne and nieces, Andrea Cohn and Janee Wynne. The family sincerely thanks Hospice of Philadelphia for all their support. A private graveside ceremony will be held on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association, would be appreciated.
