I loved talking with Florence. Her husband, Pastor Gordon Johnston, served on the missions and social ministry committee at our church for many years, which allowed us to share an intimacy of passion for serving others that forms a bond like no other. Florence stood and worked tirelessly beside her husband countless years despite a major physical disability, which she never grumbled about and never let slow down her zeal to participate fully. An admirable woman whose life positively impacted mine. Her humble and wise advice to me when I, too, was planning to become a minister's wife, was invaluable! See you later, Florence!

Ruth - There is no loss quite like the loss of your Mom - especially such a sweet Mom as Florence. She was always kind to me and we had many fun times in the bell choir together.

To Ruth, Mark, Dave and Gordon,
Florence was one of the most loving and influential women in my life. She was strong, yet himble. She was loving and kind and she opened her house and her heart to me.I loved her with all of my heart. She will be missed.
