Dickman, Fred B. Jr. HALFMOON Fred Bernet Dickman Jr., 82, of Clifton Park and Sarasota, Fla., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Born in Cincinnati to the late Fred and Edna Dickman, he lived most of his life in Clifton Park. Fred is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jo Ann; son Mark (Diane) Dickman; daughters, Melissa (George) Ehler and Anita McGill; five loving grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Fred was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. Fred was a civil engineer and had a successful career working at GE, RPI, and SUNY Central Administration. He also was an entrepreneur at heart, running the Country Store with his wife, Jo Ann for 19 years. Fred loved to work outdoors and was often seen doing household projects. He will be remembered for his smile and dry sense of humor. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 20, 2015, from 4 until 7 p.m., at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 US Route 9, Clifton Park. Funeral service to immediately follow at 7:30 p.m. Fred will be laid to rest in a spring burial service in Jonesville Cemetery in Clifton Park.
