I met Fred on a dig, and several more afterwards. We both belonged to the Capital District Mineral Club from Albany NY. Fred was an enthusiastic member and we went on some digs with the club. He even pulled me out of a pool I fell into on a dig and it was to slippery for me to get out. We met every month at the club meetings , and club dinners. Fred was Friendly, and always had a handy smile. He will be missed. My condolences to his wife and family.
