Frederick Mayer Obituary

Mayer, Frederick "Rick" L. BALLSTON SPA Frederick "Rick" L. Mayer, 57, of Ballston Spa, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 at Ellis Hospital. Born in New Hyde Park, N.Y., May 18, 1952, he was the son of the late Frederick and Ruth Mayer. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Rick was an automotive technician. Together with his wife Lisa, he owned and operated All Tech Automotive in Ballston Spa since 1986. He enjoyed camping, boating and singing karaoke. His passion was his work and his family, especially playing with his only grandson Landen. Rick is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Mayer; his daughters, Linda Mayer of Matawan, N.J., Arian Mayer of Ballston Spa, (again) and Melina Mayer and her fianc?, John Paul Russom of Clifton Park; grandson, Landen L. Mayer-Russom of Clifton Park; two sisters, Ruth Perlman of N.C. and Gloria Lefebvre of N.C.; stepmother, Carol Mayer of N.C.; one stepbrother, Nick Revetta of Calif.; three stepsisters, Deanna Rios of N.C., Lisa Albright of N.H., and Andrea Revetta of N.C.; mother-in-law, Darlene Gray of South Glens Falls; two sisters-in-law, Linda Craig of South Glens Falls and Lori Werblow of Queensbury; brother-in-law, Stephen Lefebvre of Fort Ann; and several nieces and nephews. Rick is also survived by his friend and business manager, Michael T. Spiak III. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 2 at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mayer Scholarship Fund, 984 Goode Road, Ballston Spa, NY 12020.
