Gary LaBarge Obituary

COHOES Gary F. LaBarge, age 60, of Cindy Way, Cohoes, died Saturday, April 17, 2004 after a long illness at St. Peter's Hospice Inn. Born in Plattsburgh, he was a resident of the Capital Region most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Seabee's battalion. Later Gary became the manager of Commercial Tire Sales for Goodyear Tire in Latham then Sear's and lastly Condere Corp. Gary was a member of the American Legion Melvin Roads Post 1231 East Greenbush, past coach and board member of the East Greenbush Little League, Babe Ruth and Boy Scouts as well as the Navy Seabee Veterans of America. He was the beloved husband of Theresa A. (Hackett) LaBarge; proud father of Michele L. LaBarge of Albany and Jeffrey and his wife Kathryn LaBarge of Ballston Spa; brother of Cheryl Collins of West Chazy, N.Y., Keith LaBarge of Colorado Springs, Randall LaBarge of Georgia, Vt. and the late Pamela Bizzell. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock from the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer, and 9:30 at the Church of St. Mary where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated. Friends are invited and may call Tuesday evening 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery. The family has requested that those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Community Hospice of Albany County, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.

I am deeply saddened to hear about the tremendous loss of Uncle Gary. I truly appreciated every time Uncle Gary and I talked. I thank you, and Uncle Gary again for the tremendous amount of effort that he put into the LaBarge Family Tree book. I want you all to know that Rebecca and I are very sorry. We apologize for not being able to be there for you. Please know that each of you, along with the rest of the LaBarge family are always in our thoughts and prayers.
