I worked with Genevieve at the John J Mckenna military welcome center for her last year on earth. I loved her stories, one liners and wit. She certainly loved volunteering and advising young men and women heading off to boot camp. On the snowy and cold days especially I enjoyed her family´s ancestry and incredible stories. I´ll never look at Halloween the same again! I expect her to show up riding a broom in a witches costume for trick or treats. She was certainly a great woman and had a beautiful heart and always in my thoughts and prayers

One of kind I will always remember her sharp and honest comments that had a little smile with them. Condolences to a family that I consider my own. God Bless

When Genevieve got up to heaven, and St Peter asked how she was, I am sure she answered "miserable as ever". She was one of a kind, and I had the privilege of knowing her and volunteering with her for the past 10 years, give or take a little. She will be missed very much by all of us who met her. She was an inspiration and a role model for my wife and I on how to age with dignity. I never grew tired of her sharing the same stories about the MCR with all the new recruits and travelers who visited the room. She especially loved the visits from the various service dogs, who she tried to overfeed. She will be dearly missed, as we had a lot of fun. RIP my dear.

Genevieve was my client for many years but I also considered her a friend. The "wicked witch" as she called herself was always ready with a joke. I always asked how she was and she'd say "miserable as ever" and I'd respond "thank goodness nothing has changed".
We corresponded even after I retired. She was a giving lady and we will miss her. Mr. & Mrs. "B"
