To the Hankle family,
I worked with Gerri at Professional Licensing Services (NYS ED) beginning in 1970. What a wonderful lady she was to me. I was very young and she took me under her wing. Laugh, always, and was always full of little anecdotes, always whitty. She was very well liked and I will always cherish the memories I have of her.

My deepest condolences on the passing of your mother, Gerri. I had the pleasure to work with her at the SED State Board for Nursing. She was quite a colorful character back then, always shuffling around in her beloved slippers. Many coffee breaks were devoted to games of Yahtzee, which seemed to be her favorite game back then. She will be truly missed. My prayers are with you all.

Kevin and family, please except my deepest sympathy on the loss of your Geri. I worked closely with Geri from 1982-90 at the Education Dept. I would call her from time-to-time just to hear one of her many sayings: my favorite was: I would say see you tomorrow Geri and Geri would say "if the good lord is willing and the creek don't rise". Rest in peace Geraldine Hankle!
