Blanchard, Gladys
ALBANY - Gladys Blanchard, 92, of Albany, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the Teresian House Nursing Home, with her family by her side. She was born on June 16, 1933, to Matthew and Alice Carroll in North Hoosick, N.Y. Wife of the late Perry C. Blanchard.
Gladys worked many years doing data entry and retired from Fleet Bank as a Data Entry Supervisor. She was greatly loved by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Gladys had many friends who cared deeply for her. She is survived by her children, Joni (Bruce Malone) Blanchard, Jo Ann (Edward) Bowen, Cathy (Ken) Diegel, Perry (Lori) Blanchard; deeply involved in the lives of her grandchildren, Emily (Brian), Elizabeth (Jeff), Casey, Jack (Kerry), Adam (Gabby), Sara and Merideth; her great-grandchildren, Amaya, Makenna and Kylen. She was predeceased by her siblings, Dorothy Beayon, Bill Carroll, June Norton, Tom Carroll and Arlene Brayson; as well as her dear aunt, Betty.
Visiting hours will be held at McDonald and Son Funeral Home, 870 2nd Ave., Troy, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Friday, September 5. Interment will be at Saratoga National Cemetery, at 2:00 p.m.
