Gloria Brendese

Brendese, Gloria MECHANICVILLE Gloria DeCerce Brendese, 83, formerly of Williams St., died Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie Qualantone Ragozzino. She had resided in Schenectady, Clifton Park, Mechanicville and most recently at Millview Adult Home in Colonie. Before her retirement, Gloria was employed at Maplewood Manor. Prior to that, she worked at both the Shenendehowa School System and Ballston Spa Central Schools. She was a life member of the Clifton Park Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Gloria was the widow of Charles J. Brendese Sr. who died in 2003 and Victor DeCerce who died in 1977. She was predeceased by her son, Charles V. DeCerce. She is mother-in-law of Cindy DeCerce of Ohio; stepmother of Charles J. Brendese Jr. (Marge) of Speigletown; and sister of Salvatore Ragozzino of Clifton Park, Lucy Iozzio of Rotterdam, the late Pauline Brendese and Carl Ragozzino. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jennie Willis, Anna and Jessie DeCerce; her great-grandchildren, Joseph and Larry Willis; as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, Nott St. and Seward Pl. in Schenectady. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Schenectady.
