I miss you so much buddy....you always had a smile on your face, especially when we were climbing. You had such a passion for everything you did. We had some great times together, and I'll hold them with me forever. Things aren't the same without you, kiddo. Love you always.

Our five mile swim at Yawgoog; you swam a second five miles that day (over my objections, LOL) like it was nothing. Getting out of your Focus barefoot at the bus station in El Paso, so happy and smiling like a million bucks! You, me and Dan swimming around Sagamore Island; you and Dan fishing off the island. Your smile on the Carriage Road in the Gunks, so excited to be there. These are only some of the memories that fill my heart, son. You are loved, and you are missed...but I thank God every day for the 22 short years that we had you. Rest in peace.

The Beaudet Family:
I remember when I first saw Greg in front of my house when I was in 3rd grade. Then the memories just start piling up. From making the dog house into a jump for a snowboard, playing basketball and man hunt, building the 3 story high tree fort in the backyard, from hitting the neighbors house all the time with the kickball.
To the more recent to building the rock wall in the garage, playing football in the backyard at night under the lights, making diving catches into the neighbors pool, climbing at A.I.R. When he came back in February 08, the first words he said to me were, "How about them Patriots." a week after the Superbowl.
He's going to be missed, the community has lost a great kid. I will always love, and remember him. Deepest sympthany

I think it is time to put my denial aside and pay tribute to Greg for being apart of my life. I have had an extremely tough time swallowing this. Greg has played many pivotal roles in my life leading me to the next stage of growing up.
I will always remember when I first met Greg. I was in first grade, I didn't know anybody, I just moved into a new development. Greg was my first official friend. I met him on the bus coming back from a lonely day of school. I remember him pointing out his house saying this is where he lived. I was so scared I had to have my mom come with me to ring the doorbell. From that point on we were the best of friends.
We did so many things together from playing man hunt with everyone in the neighborhood, to climbing trees, building forts, swimming during the summer time and sledding down what became known as
"Greg's Hill" in the backyard.
Mrs. Beaudet remember that one time when Greg climbed that Birch tree in the frontyard and the branch snapped and he fell all the way down on my back? I remember you said I saved his life. I thought to myself thats funny I didn't mean to save his life, I was just to dumb to move out of the way. That was a memorable time. Greg will forever be apart of my life. We literally went through all the transitions of life together. In a way he made me the man I am today.
I'm going to miss him dearly. I will never forget growing up with Greg. I will never forget you screaming his name Gregory Micheal! Get out here! I will never forget the car rides, playing James Bond, skateboarding, backyard football, Latham Ridge Playground, but most of all his laugh and friendship.
Greg always use to say.."Find Peace in the Journey." Well my friend you have found your peace after all. I will try to listen and do the same.
I love and miss you man...till we meet again.

Chip & Claudia,
I'm devastated and so very sorry to hear about your loss. I remember Greg as a great kid from our time together in Scouts. He was always in a good mood and relaxed. I remember the times we went to Glens Falls and to AIR - he was certainly in his element. I hope you'll remember all of the good things as I will. I have you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Beaudet Family,
I am so sorry for your loss of a son and our country of a patriot. Although I didn't know Greg, I appreciate the sacrifice he and your family have made for this country. He joins many patriots and great Americans. This loss touches me as I lost my only son at about the same age and I was at one time the Commanding Officer of HS-2 Golden Falcons. When I came off the shock and denial stage of grieving, I joined Compassionate Friends and found it to be the single most helpful assistance with my grieving.
God Bless your family.

Dear Beaudet Family,
As well, my husband and I used to climb at the same gym with Greg. He was a great person to be around. When it came to climbing, a very strong climber and a positive attitude. Greg was a great guy! My condolences to your family, we have you and Greg in our thoughts.

Chip and Claudia,
I was saddened to hear of the loss of Greg. Though I didnt know him, just reading his long list of accomplishments attests to his zest for life and service. When events like this happen it just brings home how small the world really is.

Claudia - While watching the news tonight I saw Greg's picture and his name. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and hearing. My heart aches for you SO much and I felt probably only a percentage of what you as his mom are feeling. I remember when Greg was a little boy and the time we spent together in Queensbury. I can't even imagine your devistation as a mom and a very good mom at that. I wished I could give you a hug and just comfort you in some way. I consider you a life long friend and even though I haven't seen you in years - you and the boys have been in my thoughts from time to time. Oh Claudia I just don't know the right words to say to you. I will keep you and your family in our prayers. PLEASE feel free to call me or email me - I'm in the phone book or [email protected]. I will be here for you my friend. My deepest and sincerest condolences.
With love and friendship,

Claudia, Dan, and Chip:
As a classmate of Greg's and also a fellow Meadowbrook/Hay Path child I am so sad to hear the news of Greg. I have so many awesome memories of Greg from Latham Ridge, Shaker and just from the crazy and fun nights hanging out in the neighborhood. I feel blessed to have had such awesome friends in this neighborhood growing up and I am happy to say that Greg was one of them. He always knew how to make everyone laugh!
I still remember a concert at SPAC one summer everyone started to yell and cheer and when I looked to my right I saw a man climbing a pole from the lawn to the top of the SPAC building. I immediately knew it was Greg and I to began to cheer him!
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time and know that Greg will always have a place in my heart.

As a classmate of Greg's at Shaker I have very fond memories of him, especially when it came to his climbing hobby. I was in Mr. Weaver's class with Greg and remember the trip to Camp Chingachgook. We all had a blast but Greg seemed to have the best time of us all. I also can recall one time we were on a field trip, I don't remember to where or for what class the only thing I remember is that at a rest stop Greg jumped a little fence and climbed the fake rocks on the outside of the building! We all thought it was great, except our teacher of course. I also remember a time when he climbed the wall in the cafeteria at school!! Greg was always so up beat and an all around nice guy. I'll never forget him or his awesome personality. I'm glad to have shared many classes and homeroom with Greg during high school.
My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family at this difficult time.

To the Beaudet Family - As I am here at home getting ready to attend Greg's Memorial Mass, I am still in disbelief.
Greg frequently was at our home to hang out with my son Brian. He was always welcomed, had a great smile on his face, acted with wonderful manners and had only nice things to say about everyone. Please know that Greg and his entire family are in my prayers.

Greg was in my gym class for a year during high school. I always thought of him as an easy-going, laid back guy. I didn't know him that well besides gym class, but I distinctly remember the great way he had about him. He was never in a bad mood and was very approachable. I'm sure that many other people have fond memories of Greg and are hurt by this loss. My thoughts go out to his family and those close to him.

I didn't know Greg, but he was a member of one of the finest groups of Men and Women serving in our Navy. That of Search and Rescue Crewmen. I served as a member of the same group from 1975-1986. And it always saddens me when we lose one of our people who lived by the motto of the Search and Rescue Crewman - "So That Others May Live". Fair winds and following Seas to our departed Brother-In-Arms. He now keeps a vigilant watch from on high. May you find peace in your memories of his life on this earth and consolation in the knowledge that you shall meet again.

Greg was a student of mine during 2002-2003. I remember Greg's passion for indoor rock climbing--countless stories of the wall. His eyes lit up when we went to Camp Chingachgook on a field trip on team-building; he impressed us all with his quick strides and heights of unparalled measure. I also saw him the day before he left for the Navy at Stewarts in Cohoes and he was so excited about it and proud to tell me he was moving on in life...
Please know that you and Greg's friends are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
May he rest in eternal peace.

Beaudet Family,
I am speechless and my heart is aching. I had recently moved out to San Diego and had planned on getting back in touch with Greg after all these years when I heard of his passing. Greg was my best friend growing up, and the times we shared, as well as my memory of Greg, will live on in my heart forever. I cannot express how greatly he will be missed. I love you all and God Bless.

Dear Claudia, Chip, and Dan,
I am so sorry for your loss. You may not know me, but I was one of Greg's small group leaders when he was preparing for Confirmation at St. Ambrose. We used to meet in Watervliet. I'm devastated to hear about Greg's passing. He was such a good-hearted kid and he brought a lot of joy to the little group. I wish I had the words to express how truly sorry I am. I have nothing but the fondest memories of Greg. I'm praying for you guys.

Dear Chip, Claudia and Dan,
Our son Tommy was a climbing companion of Greg's and whenever Greg visited our home he exuded such electric energy and of course, he always, always had that big smile on his face. In one of our favorite climbing videos Tommy captured Greg running full speed at a brick wall, running up the wall in vertical position, flipping over completely, and landing on his feet. It is the most amazing thing. But evermore we will hold that image of Greg in our hearts, that image of youthful exuberance, incredible strength, bounce, verve, and excitement. On a visit to Tommy, Greg gave Tommy a t-shirt from basic training and Tommy wore it, proud of his friend and what he had accomplished in the military. He served our country and you should be very proud of him. We will hold Greg in our hearts as you go through this time of great loss and pain.
Sincerely,
John & Kim Durant
