Helen C. Koblensky

Koblensky, Helen C. COHOES Helen C. Koblensky, 92, of Francis St., died Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late William and Eleanor Chenail Bresor and wife of the late Bernard S. Koblensky and William J. Linendoll. Helen was retired from the former Cluett & Peabody Co. where she had worked for 31 years. Prior to that, she was employed at the former Behr-Manning Co. She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union of America. She was a communicant of the former St. Anne's Church in Waterford and St. Marie's Church in Cohoes and was a former member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She was mother of Joseph Koblensky of Mass., Adam "Butch" Koblensky (Ruth) of Cohoes, Kathryn Linendoll Bond (Robert) of Waterford and the late Richard Koblensky; sister of Florence Novak (Joseph) of Cohoes and the late Gloria VanBuskirk (Bud). Also surviving are her grandchildren, Michael Koblensky (Robin), Mary Beth Halliday (Richard), Susan Brown (Thomas) and Tracy Bond (John) as well as eight great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday at 8:30 a.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday 4-8 p.m.
