Jason Gidley Obituary
SLINGERLANDS - Jason Dean Gidley of Slingerlands passed away on August 2, 2023, after a long illness.
He was born in Schenectady on September 2, 1960, and was the son of Gerald Gidley and Faye Maxwell. He was a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force in which he served four years, including time spent in Korea and the Philippines.
He was a fourth-degree black belt in Kuntaw and was an instructor in that branch of martial arts. He was the former owner of J-Tech Archery and was an avid gardener who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and listening to a wide range of music.
He was the husband of Grace Livoti Gidley; and the loving father of Jacob and Grace Gidley of Slingerlands.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Jason's family on Sunday, August 6, between 4 and 7 p.m. at the Meyers Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Place, Delmar. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Route 9W, Glenmont.
