I went to Earthworld every week from 1986 to 1992, the best part of my week! Sad to hear about JC. God Bless.

Several years ago, I was struggling to start up a comic book library in an elementary school in Schenectady. The goal was to promote literacy. When I mentioned the idea to JC, he lit up and donated thousands of age appropriate comic books to the cause. Over the years, he would often hand me a stack of comics whenever I stopped into Earthworld. "For your kids", he would say, refusing to accept a cent in return. The library was a huge success, and could not have happened without this kind man´s generosity. Hundreds of children developed a love for reading via JC´s love of comics.

Like a larger-than-life hero straight out of the comics that he fueled countless imaginations with, he will surely be missed, yet will forever remain vibrant and alive in the memories of those that were lucky enough to have known him. May he rest in peace with the knowledge that he meant so much to so many and truly helped bring a bit of much-needed color and joy into our lives. My utmost sympathies go out to his nearest and dearest. Hang in there, folks.

I´m so sorry for the loss of this man, father, husband, and community member.
It is very upsetting to read of another and another person passing this way- without warning.
I did not know JC but remember seeing his kind spirit on the
news from time to time.
I know his Spirit will live through his family and community.
May all that grieve know he will not be forgotten.
