John Davis Obituary

Davis, John Philip AIKEN, S.C. John Philip Davis, 72 of Clifton Park, entered into rest peacefully surrounded by his family on January 24, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born on May 18, 1949, and was the son of the late Bertha and William P. Davis. John was a graduate of Norwich High School, class of 1967. He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. John was a simple man, who loved being with his family and loved the outdoors. He had a passion for gardening, fishing and antiquing. John was fiercely honest and loyal. An avid sports fan he loved his N.Y. Yankees and Giants and never gave up on them. "Grandpa" never missed an opportunity to watch his grandsons play little league and cheer his family on. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Tanya, John was the devoted father of Larissa and Philip (Colleen); and cherished grandfather of Owen and Benjamin. He is survived by his siblings and their families, Bernard (Linda) Davis, Mary (Don) O'Hearn, Barbara Dunning, and Gloria (Chris) Pricci, Alex Shulgin, and Irene Shulgin; as well as lifelong friends and companions, Frank White, Gail Wood and Linda Horowitz. John will most surely be remembered by all who know him as a kind man who was always ready to help anyone in need. Interment and memorial service will be held at a later date in New York.

I am sorry for the loss of John, husband of Tanya, who I knew
throughout my school years. I
still think of Tanya every so
often, as she was a "special person". I am sorry not to have
known John.

Please accept my sympathy at this time.
