To "Chum's" Family~
He was a quiet, insightful man. When he spoke, we knew to sit and listen because it was going to be something good. Our sympathy goes to the family of a wonderful neighbor, mentor and godparent.

"Any man can be a father. It takes someone special to be a dad." and Mr Gough was certainly that, special. I've been friends with his youngest child, Marci for 35 years. I know first hand how much he loved his family and how much he was loved in return. My deepest sympathy to ALL who knew him, loved him and will miss him.

I am the younger brother of Judy. Ever since Judy started dating Chum, I knew that they would be always together in life. He was a wonderful model to me in high school, (I double dated with them once), in college, ( I followed him to Tufts), in married life (he was my best man) and family life (I didn't quite keep up, only 3 kids). Dear Chum, I am so sorry to see you go! Lin and I will miss you so very much.
Jack

we met John through his son Bob and wife Maureen. We had the honor of seeing him at his granddaughter's Dana's graduation party a couple of months ago. It was evident he had a strong relationship to his family. I know Bob, Maureen and Dana loved and admired him greatly. He will be missed by all. He showed everyone by example how to live even though he knew his life on earth was coming to an end. We were fortunate to have known him. Our condolences to his entire family.
