John Hudspath Obituary

Hudspath, John C. IV SELKIRK John C. Hudspath IV, 50, passed away on January 7, 2021. John joined the U.S. Army in 1991. He served in the Gulf War with the 1st Infantry Division. John was stationed in Germany and met Heike, his beloved, and they were married in Germany. He cared deeply for his family and friends, and always tried to lighten the room with his humor. John was an avid reader, loved Star Wars and adding to his extensive collections. John is survived by his father John C. Hudspath III; his wife Heike; his children, Melissa and David; his grandchildren, Julian and Jacob; and his brothers and sister, Brian (Tomomi), Joy, and Eric (Rebekah). He was predeceased by his mother Gail Casey Hudspath; and his stepmother Karin Hudspath. He will be missed by his loving extended family and lifelong dear friends. He will also be missed by his two dogs, Luke and Rey. Inurnment with full military honors will be held in The Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville on Thursday, January 14, at 2 p.m. Face masks and social distancing will be in effect. A memorial service for John will be held in summer 2021, details still to be determined. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the John Hudspath IV Memorial Fund through CAP COM FCU, 4 Winners Circle, Albany NY, 12205.

My sympathy goes out to the family he left behind. John was such a wonderful man, He and my son and others would gather together and play games, and go walking together, He was always willing to lend me a hand. He and my son Jeffrey picked the grapes in the woods this past fall. They spent time together. I am so sorry.
