My deepest condolences to Jack's family. The "Brow" for sure was one of a kind. I had the pleasure of meeting him many years ago at the Albia Tavern when I was there with my husband "Critter" Horton. What a wild time we all had, with Jack always failing to keep us under control! The poor guy, we tormented him. When the tavern closed we lost touch until years later when I ran into him at Uncle Sam Lanes. He lived right around the corner and was there visiting OTB. He loved those horses! He always had a smile on his face, always told me about his week, his breakfast at Manorys and his ice cream when it was on sale at Price Chopper. He always had a box of Russel Stover candy for us ladies on Valentines Day and always had pepermint lifesavers for us. They broke the mold after they made him. There will never be another. Rest in peace Brow. I will miss you. Fly high. Luv ya. BECKY

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Jack. Even though I am twenty years his junior, I remember him well at his sister Maureen´s home on Terrace Place where I lived with my family for 25 years. We use to sit on the porch and have ice tea and laugh and talk. He and his sister told wonderful stories. Such fond memories growing
up !

To all of Jack´s Family: I will miss entering Manory´s and not being greeted by a smiling Jack Stapleton. Jack was a Troy institution, and will be greatly missed. I am very sorry for your loss.
