Colon, Jose Luis "Cheo" COEYMANS Jose Luis "Cheo" Colon, born on September 9, 1946, passed away on April 2, 2021, with his family by his side. Jose was born in Puerto Rico to the late Julio Colon and Miguelina Serrano. Jose was a hard-working family man. He worked at the Frangella Mushroom Plant for many years and then the Shelburne Horse Farm. Jose is survived by his loving wife Dawn Legg Colon; children, Miguel A. Colon (Sandra Bernard), Jose Colon, Julio Colon (Sandra Torres), Mae Estrada (Luis), Brandy Sim (Mike), Jody Woodard (Chuck); siblings, Anita, Carlos, and Haydee; grandchildren, Miguel A Colon, Angel X Colon, Christian X Colon, Angelina Brown, Nachaly Colon, Josephine Hull, Christian Colon, Stephanie Colon, Giovanni Colon, Luis Estrada, Arionna Schubert, Emillio Estrada, Isabella Estrada, Cassandra Alvarez, Miguel Alvarez, Cameron Woodard, Tate Woodard; many great-grandchildren; brother and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, and extended family; as well as many close friends that he considered family, including his ICS family. Jose was predeceased by his sisters, Rosa and Brenda. Calling hours for Jose will be 5-8 p.m. on Friday, April 9, at Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. A graveside service will be on Saturday, April 10, 11 a.m. in Grove Cemetery in Coeymans. Family and friends may meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Space is limited, masks are required and social distancing will be observed.

He was a good man, husband, Father and friend. People like. Him are not made anymore. Many memories from my teenage years that are fond. To Dawn, his boys and daughters i send my condolences and hope you can find peace during this hard time. Love to you always.
