To Amy and all the Curtin family, I am so saddened to read today of Joe's passing. He was one of the finest people I have known. A kind person and an authentic gentleman. I first met Joe at Russell Sage College when i worked there for a few years. Joe was a natural leader. A good listener, he was dedicated to his job and supportive and respectful to the people who worked under his supervision. When my husband and I moved to Saratoga in 2001, we ran into Joe and Amy at St. Clement's church. Such a surprise. Every time we met at church, at the market, even the auto repair shop Joe was genial and welcoming, always ready for conversation. I will miss him.

Seems like it was only a month or so ago when Joe called me one afternoon to make sure we scheduled another one of our once a year lunches, probably in Clifton Park. He said he couldn't set a date right then but would soon. I looked forward to those lunches with Joe so much. We shared so many things over the years of friendship. Initially Joe was my client when he was in charge of PR @ Sage and then at the Independent College Fund. But because our love of running, in our younger days, and then music, bragging about our children, and other common interests we became very good friends. He was always sincerely interested in my how I was doing in my business. I really appreciated that. And
I remember when he told me, with a smile on his face, that he was taking singing lessons. I knew he really enjoyed that. I will miss him very much. And I know he will always be with me.

I'm sorry I didn't know about Joe's passing in time to be with all of you at his services. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sincerely,

I am sorry that I was unable to attend services for Joe.
I have fond memories of Joe from NDBG days. He was a wonderful father who was dedicated, supportive and instrumental in guiding his children along the life journey. He was a gentle, wonderful man. This world could use a million more Joe Curtin's to improve the world. I was sorry to learn of his passing, robbing all of you of many more years of joy and celebration with him. May you have the support of family and friends to manage through these difficult days and transition to life without Joe. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

He became a leader in our Class of '63 from the beginning and led a very successful life in work and family as husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. We have enjoyed our many years of friendship with Amy and Joe and hope the many memories the family has had with Joe will provide some comfort at such a difficult time.May he rest in peace. I met Joe when I was 9 years old as soon as he started dating my sister. In a very short time, it was obvious how much he loved and cared about her. He was the most selfless person I ever met. He was unique in the way he treated his whole family always putting them first and being whatever they needed at any time. What was most endearing about Joe was the way he listened and genuinely showed interest in any conversation anyone had with him. He was positive, complimentary, and very supportive no matter what was happening in both my life and later on in my husbands life. We will miss him and his smile. We were fortunate to have known him and have him in our lives. He was our friend and our brother. We know he is in Gods arms forever.

First of all, I want to express our heartfelt condolences to Amy and all of the Curtin children and their families for the loss of our dear friend, Joe. This unique man will be missed by all.

Joe Curtin was a one-of-a-kind sort of guy! He was a role model to me when I began my professional career working with him at Saint Michaels College back in the 70s. Joe mentored me professionally and also provided me with invaluable lessons about raising a family. He was a lifelong friend. I will never forget him.

This kind and caring man will be missed by all who ever knew him.
