Emory, Joseph W. ALBANY Joseph W. Emory, 63, entered eternal life Thursday, April 15, 2021. Born in Bradenton, Fla. he grew up in the Albany area and was the son of the late Ellsworth and Elizabeth Swint Emory. Joseph graduated from Albany High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College. He had a long and highly successful career in financing equipment and vehicles, but his gift with people and providing service to his clients made him even more successful. Joseph was active in the former West End Presbyterian Church in Albany and then the Rensselaer Presbyterian Church. He was a former member of the Albany Executives Association. He was the father of Joseph R. Emory; former husband of Rachel Bautista-Emory; brother of Paula Dwyer (James), Carol Weizenhofer (Duane Condon) and the late James Bleichert; survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Joe's family Monday, April 19, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany. His funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. Please only enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot doorway; masks and social distancing are required; and 45 visitors at a time will be allowed in the funeral home.The interment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, Berne immediately following the funeral service.
