Good by my dear best friend and my best man. It is rare in life to find a friend as dear as Joe Lupo. The memories we shared would fill a book especially the military years. In Cuba during the missile crisis where we were told we would probably not live to see another day, to the times we spent in Argentia Newfounland and Davisville Rhode Island. We were SeaBees and we went through a lot together; Some good, some bad, some frightening, some hilarious. Through the years we would continue our friendship, you from the Northeast and me from the Northwest. You were my best man at my wedding a century ago or so it seems. Also through the years we would talk about old times, particularly of our times in the SeaBees. Telling tales that most would not believe and most would never understand unless you were there. I may not now be able to talk to you all the time as we have always done but you will always be with me. I loved you Joseph Lupo. I am blessed to have known you. You were, are and always will be my best friend. Until we are together again. Ray D. Branham (Seattle WA)
